Hi,
I can't switch on/off my wireless adapter by the usual hotkey of my laptop (Fn+F11)
laptop : Clevo M860TU
O.S. : Windows 7-64bit or Ubuntu 9.04-64bit
Adapter : SR71-E
Adapter Driver : 7.6.1.149
How could i do so i can take control of my adapter by the designed hotkey?
Thanks
I'm gonna guess the (Fn+F11) is keyed to the internal wireless card. Perhaps a registry edit might work.

well, the SR71-E is an internal wireless card also, isn't it?
so how could i edit registry to make it work?
thanks
Yes, its a drop fit for a laptop's internal card, but the registry may not see the association to the new hardware. Someone else might take the chance to help to help you, but we never offer to make any recommendations for registry changes.
You might want to look at the system configuration editor. Its safer as it won't allow (usually) you to make damaging changes to the OS. If you don't know how to launch it, then I'd recommend taking the laptop to someone that is experienced using the editor.

on my dell inspiron 1525 laptop, thw wireless switch not work.. i can switch it to OFF and itīs stay turned on !!
hey ubnt developers.. how i can patch this to work ? need some improvements in drivers ?
That sounds like a problem with the laptop's internal driver that isn't playing well with the UBNT card. I don't think its gonna be a developer's fix. I'd uninstall that app and reboot to reinstall it. With a HP laptop, its called the "HP Wireless Assistant".

Hello,
WHT is correct. Those function keys and switches are set for the specific card in the laptop. When switch to a different one it may not always work.
Thanks,
Mike

So when we need to turn the radio off we could disable the network adapter instead, right? A few mouse clicks...
