this design is pure 10 (big strong one) most of loss in wireless is in cables and connectors, imagine how good is this direct connection on antenna for us who are limited on max 20dbm by regulations.

WHT tnx for pictures, I can't wait for bullets in Europe.

Hey Guys,

There are 3rd party mesh software on the market that you might be able to get working on these.

Mike

That supports the Bullet?
Could tell us which 3rd party mesh software?

Hey Carrasco,

They don't support the bullet as of yet as they are not released, but its not a huge leap from any of our other supported products. im pretty sure they will have a ported image pretty fast.

I was reading on the https://www.open-mesh.com site and someone there commented on the posibility of UBNT allowing or readying their products for the open mesh architecture....

Anybody know anything about it??

HAHAHHAHAHAHAH...OK, here's the whole story.

I'm looking at all the potential and future possibilities of UBNT and mesh.

rconaway figured this out on his own and that I was holding out on him.

Sooooo.......that's why I gave him an innocent look when I posted, "Why are you looking at ME?"

Its kinda of an inside running joke.

But to be fair....there are a lot of users here that own and operate a WISP, have been in the radio communications biz for thirty years, etc...

MaximumISP from Canada
rconaway from Arizona
kijoma from the UK
guidonet from Argentina
and a few others that slip my mind at the moment.

We are past the "been there, done that...next" point of experience. We're more than the cutting edge..we're off the wall entirely.

We know what does and doesn't work, we know what works better than something else...

We know that it took a lot of late night work, all weekend work, lots of burned out radios, lots of "Honey, I have to work this weekend", lots of frustration...

We are glad to help out and offer our input.

I think this is the Warmest Forum I've been in. I think the guys at open-mesh are working on putting there firmaware on most of the UBNT radios NS,PS, & Bullets the major hurdle is that they all only have 4MB flash which they find to be quite small, but non the less they are still working hard to get there because the world is start to realise the POWER of UBNT. hey can you guys imagine putting up UBNT radios & not having to configure them......or can you say Plug & Play

Hey, I proposed that some ready to use basic configurations were included to load in this forum or support page.

i was thinking of the same thing. I agree with what you said a few weeks ago about keeping ONE topic for the PS, NS, Loco, and Bullet. I'll post details in the forum suggestions thread.

Can anyone tell me where to get these style antennas. I have a few 22db 5ghz grids and a few 24db 2.4 grids and they all have a foot or more of cable coming out the back. I have not seen a site where the specifically mention that the N connector is right on the back of the antenna. If I end up ordering any, I want to make sure it is this style for sure.

Thanks

Mike

Thanks for the reply

My antennas are Pacwireless and all came with coax. Did they change to the new style perhaps? I just don't want to order one and have it come with a coax style. I want to get the most out of the bullet :D I didn't see anywhere on their website where it says if it's coax or not. Hyperlink is selling a new 27db 2.4 (http://www.hyperlinktech.com/item.aspx?id=2203) grid and they are calling it a "Integral N-Female connecotor". Thats the only one i've seen that specifically shows the connector style. Unless I am missing something

Thanks
