I have been working on the Routerstation challenge since I received my board and now you have release a new(different) board. Do i continue with what I have or can I swap it out for the new one? If I have to submit a complete working firmware for this challenge I really need to know which board to use.

Thanks,

Mike

If i continue with what I have the and for some reason my firmware has problems with the new board will that count against my entry?

I have a follow-up, related question for Mike.

For the June 15th first draft entries, it's not clear if these first drafts need to tested and running natively on the routerstation already, or if we solve a number of the technical requirements on a generic openwrt platform that that will be sufficient to get us past the first round of judging.

I've been doing my development on the openwrt hardware I have already: a WGT634U (openwrt/kamikaze with my extensions) talking to my home test network and at times coordinating with a Fonera also running my customized openwrt.

On a related note: I followed the Rules for requesting routerstation hardware during my entry. I never received approval or denial for getting routerstation hardware to run this on. Is that still pending?

I ask because I only recently got my "Registration Approved - Ubiquiti RouterStation UI/Firmware Challenge" email, and reminder about the June 15th deadline.

My goal here is to nail down a bunch of the technical requirements (front-end and back-end) that I've been wanting for a while anyway on the generic hardware I and others have whenever possible. How far can I go in this contest before needing to run this on Routerstation/RouterStationPro hardware?

Thanks!
