Default Bullett Waterproof

Would it cause the Bullett any problems if I enclosed it in clear plastic tubular shrinkwrap? My objective is to make it more waterproof since it will be mounted on the flying bridge of a boat where it will be exposed to both rain and also to limited salt water spray. I am fabricating a replacement bottom screw on cap for better waterproofing for the Ethernet cable.

That should be fine.
You need to completely seal it up or it will leak...Mount in a verticle possition if possible.

No, it wouldn't cause any problems.
But if you want this kind of sealing,
I suggest you put it in a PVC tube
with glued-on threaded ends. You
won't need to fabricate anything,
and it will be water-tight. You can
purchase CAT5 gland nuts, which
you can also use for coax. Dave

I would have concerns about heat build up.
