Air OS
  • Radio Driver
  • MIMO & Ubiquiti Frequency Freedom Support
  • Enhanced Stability and Advanced Features
Background

Ubiquiti Radio Driver is built upon the original MADWIFI Linux Driver authored by Sam Lefler. Ubiquiti's driver integrates our internal R&D efforts into improving wireless performance, adding custom support for our special frequency cards, more low-level wireless features, and support for the latest 802.11n MIMO chipsets.

Ubiquiti maintains an "open source" philosophy with the higher level portion of the driver and a further customizable service for the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) which is distributed in binary form.
